WACO, TEXAS (October 22, 2012): The University of Sioux Falls (7-1, 7-1 NSIC, 3-1 NSIC South) jumped two spots in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) DII Poll this week to rank No. 21. Receiving 145 votes Monday, the Cougars enjoy their second straight week in the polls.

USF defeated Augustana College 32-31 in double-overtime on Saturday, earning the Cougars the Key to the City, a traveling trophy that was created for the renewed rivalry between the two programs.

USF is one of three NSIC members currently ranked in the poll. Minnesota State, Mankato improved two spots and enters the week ranked No. 7 (544 points) after beating Winona State 30-20. Minnesota-Duluth slipped from a tie for seventh to No. 8, following a 30-0 victory at Minnesota, Crookston.
