Sioux Falls streets to close for McGovern services

The Sioux Falls Police Department is asking those who are not attending the prayer service or funeral for former Senator George McGovern to avoid driving near certain areas.

On Thursday from 3 pm to 8 pm West 12^th Street from Summit Avenue to Minnesota Avenue will be closed near First United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls.

On Friday from 11 am to 4 pm, Sioux Falls police are asking drivers to avoid the following roads will be closed around the Washington Pavilion:

13th Street from Maine Avenue to Dakota Avenue will be closed.
Dakota Avenue from 11th Street to 13th Street will be closed.

Sioux Falls police will be on hand to assist with traffic.
