1. Biden: "I don't know anyone who loved this country more than George McGovern"
Vice President of the United States Joe Biden is in Sioux Falls Thursday. He was one of many speakers at a vigil for former South Dakota Senator George McGovern. "His phrase in his speech, 'we do love this country.' I don't know anyone who loved this country more than George McGovern," Biden said.
2. Sioux Falls police at scene of standoff
Officers with the Sioux Falls Police department just confirmed that there is a suicidal subject with a gun at 1814 East 3rd Street in Sioux Falls.
3. Sandy Barrels Towards Bahamas
Hurricane Sandy is less than 150 miles from the Bahamas with wind speeds of 85 miles an hour. Overnight forecasts show the storm slowing down and turning northwest during the day. Experts predict at least $1 billion in damage.
4. Romney up 50-47 on Obama
Day four of our ABC News/Washington Post tracking poll shows Mitt Romney up 50-47 on President Obama. This number is within the margin of error but marks the first time Romney has hit the 50 percent mark.
5. Windows 8 Debuts
Windows 8 launches today and is available for everyone to download and buy. Over 1,000 Windows 8 PCs will be released over the course of the next several weeks.
