More than 1,000 volunteers are out this weekend to help those who can't rake themselves.
It's call the "Rake The Town" event.
Volunteers head to homes all over the Sioux Falls area.
They mainly help seniors who are financially or physically unable to do it themselves.
We talked to one volunteer who tells us why she's helping today.
"But for these people, they can come out here and do this. It's something it gives back to us and the community but it gives back tot he kids that are out here. Teaches them to be involved in the community. Teaches them to help others," Faith Carlson said.
The event is sponsored by Active Generations.
The Sioux Falls landfill let's these volunteers drop off the leaves for free.
