Cement and dirt are not the only contents in the mix for construction of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
On Tuesday, project managers of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center unveiled the latest renderings of what the events center will look like once it's complete.
Tuesday's presentation highlighted the make up and focus of the events center by showing where general seating, suites and concessions will be. Legends Sales and Marketing was also introduced as the firm charged with selling the suites and advertising of the center.
In his presentation Ben Wrigley, Legends Sales & Marketing, said the firm's job is to generate revenue through premium seating, ticket sales and naming rights.
"Obviously, at this point we've been successful and the city has a wonderful naming rights partner, but now we got to start to move inside the building and start looking at all the premium seating and advertising opportunities," Wrigley said.
Wrigley said Legends will be conducting a qualitative sponsorship valuation to see what companies want to get out of the events center. He said right now it is important to spend quality time preparing for sales.
"Because again, it's making sure that when we do start talking to folks about suites that we can answer every question and really paint a clear picture of what it's going to be like on an event night at the new Denny Sanford PREMIER Center," Wrigley said.
Right now crews are working to make sure those event nights are stable. Workers are placing footings and foundation for the center. Steel beams and "The Den's" shell are not expected to be erected until after the first of the year. By this time next year the outside, entrances and roof are expected to be completed.
"I think the excitement is going to build as the construction continues to progress," Wrigley said. "I would say that we probably have a majority of our work still to go."
