Sioux Falls neighborhoods will find out whether they will shovel snow at the end of their driveways this winter.
On Wednesday, the City is announcing six areas designated as test areas for snow gates to be used on snow plows during the 2012-2013 winter season.
Mayor Mike Huether, Public Works Director Mark Cotter, and Street and Fleet Operations Manager Galynn Huber will make the announcement at a press conference Wednesday. The conference is 10:30 am at the Street Division, 1000 East Chambers Street. The public is welcome to attend.
The group will discuss the data it intends to capture with the tests, what it plans to learn from the tests, and it will answer any questions about preparations for the winter season.
