Downtown Sioux Falls Gives Back

Posted: Updated:

October is gone and we are now welcoming in November. And that means First Fridays tomorrow in downtown Sioux Falls. Brienne Maner from Downtown Sioux Falls and Madeline Shields from The Banquet stopped by the KSFY Morning News to talk with Shawn about the DTSF Gives Back program.

Downtown businesses are partnering with The Banquet's Project S.O.S. Backpack Program. The Banquet is the only agency that provides essential school supplies for students in need. 90% of those supplies are given to students right here in the Sioux Falls School District. Although their biggest push for supplies comes just before the start of the school year, The Banquet collects items and funds for Project: S.O.S. year round. For this year's fundraising portion of this partnership, downtown Sioux Falls businesses have organized a Coupon Book containing valuable offers from several locations.

The November First Friday kicks off the sale of this valuable coupon book that will be valid November 2, 2012 - March 31, 2013. Books will sell for $15 and can be purchased at the Downtown Sioux Falls Office, 230 S. Phillips Ave, Suite 102 and all participating businesses.
