More than $3 million in construction along Marion Road in Sioux Falls is set to be complete.
The construction on Marion Road between 39th Street and Berkshire Boulevard started on May 2. The project's total cost was $3,600,000.
The work included expanding the road to five lanes, sanitary sewer repairs, and new water main, storm sewer, concrete pavement, sidewalk and street lighting. It is expected to be completely finished Friday November 2.
"I want to sincerely thank the adjacent property owners and drives for their patience as we installed the new driving surface, increased the capacity and improved the safety on Marion Road," City Engineer Chad Huwe said in a news release.
More work on tree planning and over seeding is set to be completed next spring.
