1. Superstorm Sandy Death Toll Continues to Rise

The death toll in the U.S. after Superstorm Sandy rose to at least 90 on Thursday. Power outages now stand at over 3.9 million businesses and homes, down from 8.5 million earlier this week.

2. Forecasters Predict Nor'easter Early Next Week

Weather models are forecasting the possibility of a nor'easter next week as a system develops off the Carolinas Tuesday night and moves up off the east coast into New England. This storm is not projected to have the same intensity or high winds that Sandy did but could hamper recovery efforts from the superstorm.

3. Red Cross uses social media in disaster response

Red Cross officials tell us social media is changing the way they receive and send information during a disaster.

4. Sister of late Tracy Handel: "I can't judge him"

It was just 3 months ago when Tracy Handel was hit on the back of a motorcycle at 26th Street and Grange Avenue, dragged for blocks down the street and later died of her injuries. While the markings on the street and tribute on the corner might be gone now, for some, the memories are still fresh.

5. Shelton Is CMA Entertainer of Year

Blake Shelton took home the big prize of the night at the 46th Annual Country Music Association Awards in Nashville on Thursday night, snagging the Entertainer of the Year award. Blake and his wife Miranda Lambert also became the first couple ever to win the CMA award for Song of the Year.
