Sioux Falls, SD: On Friday, November 02, 2012 at 5:00 PM, Sioux Falls Police, Rural Metro Ambulance and Sioux Falls Fire Rescue were dispatched to Highway 11 and E Split Rock Road for an Injury crash. After a preliminary investigation it was determined that a 1987 Honda Civic was southbound on Highway 11 when it suddenly swerved into the northbound lanes and struck a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville head-on.
The Honda Civic was driven by a 19 year old male who was pronounced dead at the scene. The 55 year old driver and his front seat passenger of the Pontiac Bonneville had to be extricated from their vehicle and were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The names of the victim and the other involved parties are being withheld pending notification of family members. The Investigation is continuing.
