Military families are coming together to show support to our troops either currently fighting overseas or maybe just got back.
The active duty appreciation event is being hosted by Active Generations and some other local businesses.
The event started this morning with carnival games, face painting and kids also got a chance to check out some live reptiles and bugs.
We talked to a volunteer about the event.
"Outpouring of community support to show the military families in and around Sioux Falls area how much we do really care about them. Give them a day that they can come in and not pay for anything. Give parents a time to relax and get massages and give kids a time to have fun.
families were also treated to lunch and door prizes were given out as well.
