An intersection east of Huron is closed Tuesday night due to a fertilizer spill.
The crash happened around 9:00 Tuesday night at the intersection of 409th Ave. and 210th St.
Tom Moeding with Beadle County Emergency Management tells KSFY that a pickup traveling south from the town of Cavour hit a semi truck. The semi's trailer was loaded with dry fertilizer.
Moeding says the trailer spilled the fertilizer and the intersection is closed because of the leak.
Two people in the pickup were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The semi driver wasn't hurt.
South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Beadle County Sheriff's Department are investigating the accident.
