Our KSFY/Taco John's Athlete of the Week wrapped up a great high school career, and we'll be putting on a Nebraska Cornhusker uniform next year.
Washington high school senior wide reciever, back, and defensive back Nate Gerry had this 42 yard touchdown run that sealed the Class 11-AA state title for the Warriors on Saturday night. He also had an interception in the game.
Gerry played on four Washington teams that reached the state title game. This hard hitting speedster was a lot of fun to watch out on the field.
For that performance and career, where he had 34 touchdowns combined receiving and rushing. He returned 4 interceptions for touchdowns this season.
