Assault sends man to Sioux Falls hospital

Around 10:00 Wednesday night Sioux Falls Police officers were sent to 6371/2 So. Dakota #1 for a stabbing. When officers arrived they found Jay C Johns with a stab wound to his leg. He was transported to an Avera hospital where he was treated and released for the stab wound to his leg. Sioux Falls Police say an investigation into the incident revealed that Johns was stabbed by his girlfriend Myrtle A Blacklance after a short argument. Blacklance was arrested and lodged at the county jail for Domestic Aggravated Assault.
