Spirit Lake wins IA Class 2A State Football Title

In Cedar Falls, IA this afternoon, Spirit Lake played Mediapolis for the Iowa Class 2A State Title today.

Early on, Mediapolis would strike first when Chase Miller returned a blocked punt for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead.

However, Spirit Lake quarterback Paul Brown would answer with two touchdowns, one passing and one touchdown. The Indians took a 17-7 advantage into the fourth quarter and hold on to win their first state football title, 17-15 win over Mediapolis.
