LE MARS, Iowa (AP) - A 20-year-old Le Mars man has been convicted of breaking into two houses and assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
A Plymouth County jury returned the guilty verdicts late Monday night against Matthew Jandreau. He was convicted of kidnapping, assault to commit sexual abuse, burglary, drunken driving and other crimes.
Le Mars police say Jandreau broke into two homes in March. He found the girl in the basement of one.
Jandreau's sentencing date hasn't been set yet.
