According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, one person is dead after a rollover accident on Interstate 90 near Humboldt Tuesday morning.
Captain Kevin Joffer, South Dakota Highway Patrol, confirms there was one fatality in the accident. Later Tuesday, South Dakota Highway Patrol is expected to issue a news release with more details on the crash.
Metro Communications tells KSFY News the accident was reported as a rollover at 9:59 am Tuesday. It happened near Exit 379 along Interstate 90.
Captain Jim Hoekman, Minnehaha County Sheriff's Department, said Minnehaha County deputies provided traffic assistance. Hoekman said the accident slowed down traffic in the Humboldt area along I-90.
