A man accused of rape and who the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office was looking for turned himself in Tuesday afternoon.
On November 16, a warrant was issued for Kristopher Aslesen, 29, for two counts of First Degree Rape with a victim less than 13 years old.
Aslesen is an over the road truck driver. His truck was found in Bloomington, IL the day the warrant was issued, but he was nowhere to be found.
Aslesen turned himself in to the Minnehaha County Sheriff's Office around 2:45 pm Tuesday. He could face other charges such as failing to register as a sex offender.
Aslesen is a previous convicted sex offender out of Davison County. He was convicted of sexual contact with two victims, both under the age of 13.
