Two winners will split Powerball's $587.5 million jackpot, each raking in $293.75. Winners in Missouri and Arizona were called overnight.

2. Holiday shopping parking lot safety

Experts at AAA say there are several things you can do to cut down your risk of getting into an accident or getting your gifts stolen in busy store parking lots this Holiday season.

Passengers were taken off a Delta Airlines flight in Milwaukee on Wednesday after a man found a live shotgun shell near his seat. Officials removed and screened 120 passengers from the plane but found nothing.

4. Gun sales soar on Black Friday

Gun sales soared to record highs on Black Friday, causing outages with the FBI's required background check for most gun sales in the U.S. According to the FBI, there was a 20 percent increase in those background checks compared to Black Friday last year.

Former South Dakota Gov. Mike Rounds says he is going to announce his intentions about running for the U.S. Senate during a series of events across South Dakota on Thursday.
