Colorado Tech. University to close, Kilian offers transfer scholarship
Colorado Technical University in Sioux Falls is no longer accepting applications and plans to close its doors by September 2016.
In an e-mail to students, CTU President David Heflin said, "Our Board of Trustees made this difficult decision by taking a number of factors into account, including enrollment levels at the Sioux Falls campus and an increasingly challenging economy over the past several years."
The university is implementing a teach-out, in which the school is not accepting any new students and current students will finish their degree program and will be able to graduate. CTU will officially be closed September 30, 2016-- which may occur later or earlier depending on the needs of the students.
Kilian Community College is offering a special $500 transfer scholarship to any current CTU student who has successfully completed their most recent semester at the school. Kilian is accepting applications for its Spring Semester, which starts on March 4.
