Sioux Falls has been named the city with the highest average credit score, according to MSN Money.
Experian released its "2012 State of Credit" report, with the average credit score for Sioux Falls residents being 784. Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas is next in line at 727 and Waco, Texas follows at 715.
On Friday, Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether issued a press release on the ranking stating that people in Sioux Falls and South Dakota are cautious and conservative with their resources.
"People in South Dakota demand that government is managed just as prudently. In Sioux Falls we meet those expectations and more," Huether said in the release. "For example, the City of Sioux Falls has added to reserves each of the last two years and is on track to do the same this year."
