A Sioux Falls home is the site of a meth bust for the second time in under a month.
Around 7:00 Wednesday night, the Sioux Falls Area Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 816 N. French Avenue. A substantial quantity of methamphetamine, paraphernalia, marijuana, a firearm, and money was seized.
The resident, Lester Richard Estenson, the homeowner, was taken to the Minnehaha County jail for a Federal drug arrest warrant, possession of controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of controlled substance with intent to distribute (methamphetamine), maintaining a residence where drugs are used/stored, violation of a drug free zone, possession of less than 2 oz. marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A search warrant was served at this same location on November 8, 2012. In that incident, three men, Estenson included, were arrested on meth charges. The Sioux Falls Dug Task Force Officers also seized almost 2,000 pills of pseudoephedrine—a common meth-making component.
