     Our KSFY/Taco John's Athlete of the Week got the new girls basketball season off to a great start last night.

    Parkston senior Erica Herrold had 28 points and 16 rebounds in Parkston's 52-45 win over Freeman.

    Herrold one of the state's top players, on the second-ranked team in Class A in our KSFY/KWSN preseason poll.

   For that performance, we salute Parkston's Erica Herrold, as our KSFY/Taco John's Athlete of the Week.
