A Sioux Falls home is the site of a meth bust for a second time in a month, and the man accused is back behind bars.
The bust happened around 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, on North French Avenue.
While serving a federal warrant, the Sioux Falls Drug Task Force found Lester Richard Estenson with methamphetamine, marijuana and more than $8,000 cash.
Estenson was taken to the Minnehaha County Jail on multiple federal drug charges. He was arrested back in November for the same reason.
Wednesday night, they seized more than 45 total grams of meth, several ounces of marijuana, paraphernalia related to drug-use, a firearm and $8,470 cash.
We stopped by North French Avenue and talked with a number of Estenson's neighbors who didn't want to go on camera but said they were concerned after finding out about his drug activity.
The neighborhood has a number of young families with Joe Foss School around the corner.
Members of law enforcement say they were well aware of Estenson and his drug history, but the amount of items seized is not typical for Sioux Falls.
"This isn't his first time, last time wasn't. He's had a history of using, selling drugs. It's unusual to have circumstances like this, especially in that area with a drug-free zone. Most people when they're arrested, if they live in that area, they move. For whatever reason, he continued just the same as he was before," Officer Sam Clemens said.
Estenson is facing charges including drug possession, intent to distribute and violation of a drug-free zone.
