Sioux Falls police have issued their first ticket for violating the City's ordinance banning texting while driving.
Officer Sam Clemens tells KSFY News the first ticket was issued November 29, two months after the law went into effect.
Clemens said the citation was issued during a regular traffic stop. He said the person was cited for driving without insurance and prohibition on use of electronic messages—meaning using a handheld device to access the internet or texting while driving.
