Sioux Falls reminds property owners to shovel sidewalks

The City of Sioux Falls says property owners have 48 hours to clear sidewalks.

In Sioux Falls, snow accumulation stopped at 6:00pm Sunday. Heavy blowing and drifting continued until 4:00am Monday.

If property owners fail to remove the snow or ice within 72 hours of accumulation, the city may remove the snow or ice and charge the cost to the property owner per City Ordinance Chapter 38, Article V. Snow and Ice Removal.

The city will begin accepting complaints Wednesday at 8:00am. Complaints may be made by calling 367-8171.
