MITCHELL, S.D. (AP) - The president of Dakota Wesleyan University is leaving to take a job at a Pennsylvania university.

The school announced in a news release that Bob Duffett will leave DWU next year to become president of Eastern University in St. Davids, Pa.

During his time at DWU, Duffett oversaw the fundraising, construction and dedication of the McGovern Library. He also led major renovations projects on campus, among other things.

Duffett says his time at the university has been the highlight of his higher education career.

Duffett and DWU Board of Trustees chairman Brad Pratt will address the school community on Tuesday.
