Touring Sioux Falls' lights from the sky

After buckling up and taking a deep breath, we were off.

Our pilot, Bob Krier, has more than 3,000 hours of experience under his belt.

"The Christmas lights and to see the happy faces that go in and out of here," said Krier.

He partnered up with Strawbale Winery six years ago for these Twilight Flights.

"We have a nice country setting out here. We have a winery and everyone thinks that's real serene and pastoral, and than all of a sudden let's throw a helicopter in it," said Strawbale owner Don South.

90-100 Twilight Flights go up every year from Strawbale.

"It's a life experience, I think, for people. We've had engagement flights. We've had 90-year-old people. We've had 40th and 50th anniversaries," said South.

Inside Strawbale is a feast of wine and food. Lois and LeRoy Erickson are celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary.

"The helicopter ride, that's just out of this world to go up in that," said Lois.

"This time of year it's just beautiful. The Falls and the Cathedral are just magnificent this time of year," added LeRoy.

Tis the season for a Twilight Flight!
