A local organization known for its haunted house and 4th of July fireworks display is also providing smiles for kids on Christmas eve.
Some volunteers with the Sioux Empire Jaycees gathered at the Arena Motel tonight to deliver more than 200 gifts.
The gifts will be handed out on Christmas eve to kids and families in need.
Organizer Elizabeth Groff says each year they collect toys but sometimes have more than expected.
This year, with the extra toys they collected, they figured out one more way to give back.
"We got to thinking of what groups in town aren't as advertised and when we put our heads together, we got to thinking of the Arena Motel. They always take in people and help them as much as they can so we wanted to help them," Elizabeth Groff said.
