SPEARFISH, S.D. (AP) - Jill Davis of Spearfish has been using her artistic talent, social media and the word of God to spread the Bible message around the world and raise money for translate the Bible into other languages.
Davis says that she has illustrated a Bible verse every day since her 27th birthday on December 12, 2011. She has posted the illustrations on her blog at Year27.com.
Davis has been selling the artwork and taking donations, with the proceeds going to One Verse, an organization that works to translate the Bible into different languages.
She says there are about 2,000 groups around the world that do not have access to the Bible in their native language.
