Snowy roads have sent multiple vehicles in the ditch—including a semi-trailer—in the Sioux Falls area Thursday morning.
A semi-trailer jackknifed near the Brandon exit along Interstate 90 Thursday morning. The accident blocked off westbound traffic causing traffic to stall. Other vehicles in that area also slid into the ditch.
At 10:49 am, Metro Communications confirmed the area was clear and traffic was back open in the area near the Brandon exit along I-90.
A couple of highway patrol troopers were also parties included in some of Thursday's accidents, according to a tweet from SD Highway Patrol Superintendent Col. Craig Price.
"We've had a couple patrol cars hit this morning during the weather event in southeast South Dakota. No injuries. #slowdownmoveover," Col. Price tweeted.
