Cold weather didn't stop skiers and snow-boarders from hitting the slopes at Great Bear Recreation Park Saturday.
A few flurries fell as several people took advantage of the holiday weekend and the new holiday hours at the park.
Many people were commenting that this year's snow and turnout is far better than last year.
Jordan Miller said, "I like it better because the snow is softer. Last year, it was all ice so it hurt when you fell."
The new holiday hours are now in effect, and winter sports enthusiasts can hit the slopes from 9am through 10pm.
