Area bands featured in Tournament of Roses Parade, Gator Bowl

Some area marching bands are starting 2013 with a bang.

The Lincoln Patriot Marching Band of Sioux Falls performed at the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA Tuesday morning. It was Lincoln High School's fourth appearance at the Tournament of Roses Parade.

Lincoln High School was joined by the Pride of the Dutchmen of MOC-Floyd Valley from Orange City, Iowa. Some of the Dutchmen even marched in wooden shoes.

The Brandon Valley High School marching band was featured on the other side of the nation. The Lynx performed in the halftime show of the Gator Bow in Jacksonville, FL.
