We're tracking what some experts say could be the worst flu season we've seen in years.
The latest surveillance report from the Centers for Disease Control says the flu has hit particularly early this season.
The east coast and the southeast have been slammed.
But it will spread across the country through March.
Doctors say it's not too late to get the vaccine, which is the best protection. Dr. Richard Besser with ABC News is cautioning you to not be afraid of getting that vaccine. "I get this every year, 'I got the shot and it gave me the flu,' it can give you a sore arm, it can give you a little fever, it's not gonna give you the flu, it can protect you against the flu."
Doctors say in addition to the vaccine, people should wash their hands and use alcohol sanitizers since the flu is spread by touch.
And stay home when you're sick. Your friends and co-workers will thank you!
