As we kick off a new year, hundreds of couples start the planning for their big day.
It was a sea of brides and grooms at the Gonna Get Wed Bridal Showcase, Sunday. It was held from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.
This year, experts say couples are spending an average of $25,000 on their wedding. We caught up with a few brides and grooms who say they do have a budget and plan on sticking to it.
"At this point, it's very important,. I'm in P.T. school at USD, in the process of trying to get a job. I don't have an income right now so it's important to stay on task," Brittany Sehr said. 41>
"With everything, price-wise, with a lot of this stuff, it adds up in a quick hurry. Trying to stick to it will help out," Matthew Van Grootheest said.
The event was held from noon to 5:00 p.m.
