Posted: Updated:

Sioux Falls police have a description of the suspect they believed robbed a gas station with a gun Monday morning.

The robbery was reported at approximately 6:55 am at Cone's BP near 18th Street and Cleveland Avenue. One person was working at the time. Police say a suspect came into the store "brandishing" a hand gun and demanded cash. Police say the suspect then ran from the scene northbound on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6 feet 3 inches to 6 feet 5 inches tall, wearing black clothes. The victim also said he was wearing a black mask covering his face.

Detectives are investigating surveillance footage at this time.

Officer Sam Clemens noted, this is first robbery of a commercial entity in 2013.
