Suspect pleads guilty in South Dakota prostitution case

Posted: Updated:

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A South Dakota man accused of running a prostitution ring has pleaded guilty to charges.

Jeramy Caron, 36, of Summerset, was charged with promoting prostitution and pimping in Pennington County two years ago. He was accused of bringing women from several states to work as prostitutes in Rapid City hotels.

Caron was arrested on similar charges in Indiana while out on bond in March 2012.

Caron faces up to seven years in prison in South Dakota. His plea agreement with prosecutors calls for a term of no more than four years, but a judge must agree. Sentencing is set for Jan. 28.
