Bass pleads not guilty to murder charge

22-year-old Robert Bass the Third was in court for the second time in as many days. This time, facing charges in a weekend death.

Bass pleaded not guilty today to second degree murder charges in the beating death of Chris Conde-Vargas.

Sioux Falls police say Bass beat the 50-year-old with a baseball bat early Saturday morning.

Conde-Vargas' body was found more than 48 hours later after co-workers reported he didn't show up to work.

Bass appeared in court Wednesday on charges related to several outstanding warrants.
