Watertown now enforcing texting ban

Watertown is saying so long to texting and driving.

tomorrow, the city will begin enforcing its new ban which comes on the heels of Huron's recent texting ban.

If Watertown Police see a driver using a mobile device to send or receive an electronic message behind the wheel, they could be hit with a $200 fine.

Right now, texting and driving bans are on a city-by-city basis...but a statewide ban is on the table at the state legislature.
