SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Aberdeen police are trying to figure out who shot and killed five tame ducks in a city park.
The ducks were found dead in a pond on Thursday. Authorities say they were shot in the head with a small-caliber rifle or an air rifle.
Parks Superintendent Mark Hoven says the ducks stayed in Aberdeen year-round and were cared for by city workers. They had been at the park for at least two years.
