Sioux Falls developer Don Dunham dies at 70

Posted: Updated:

This weekend Sioux Falls lost one of its most iconic real estate developers.

Don Dunham died yesterday after complications from surgery at the age of 70.

Friends of the late Dunham say he changed the skyline of Sioux Falls bringing new dynamics to the real estate industry.

Mayor Mike Huether tells KSFY Dunham's name will go down in the city's history books for a long time.

"Its a devastating loss to Sioux Falls and South Dakota.  Some of the momentum we were recapturing," Heuther said. "This was a man that made an impact in Sioux in such a big way.  People just cant imagine the risk developers that Don Dunham make on behalf of the people they serve."

Dunham is survived by his wife, Christine and children, Don, Jim, and Chris.

Funeral arrangements are still pending.
