A business has suffered extensive damage after flames erupted around 4:30 Sunday afternoon.
It happened in an industrial area near Tea along Highway 106.
A lot of flames coming from every which way as crews arrived on the scene.
The video shows part of the roof collapse and a transformer explode just outside.
It happened here at Sioux Falls Kitchen & Bath, which is just east of Interstate 29 near the Tea exit.
The Tea fire chief told KSFY News there were no injuries.
There was also no damage to any surrounding buildings but it's a different story for the building where the fire broke out. Tea Fire Chief Brett Miller said "it's on the ground, it's totally on the ground."
Fighting the fire at the large industrial park challenged firefighters. Chief Miller explains this fire required fire teams bring tankers to the scene.
"The tanker is for water because we don't have any hydrants in this area. our only water source is bringing it in through the tanker," Chief Miller said.
But the remote location wasn't the only challenge in battling the blaze. Chief Miller said the weather presented another problem for firefighters.
"It is a little bit, just so our lines don't freeze up," Chief Miller said.
The call came in about 4:45 Sunday afternoon for a fire at Sioux Falls Kitchen and Bath. Located just off of the tea exit from I-29, Chief Miller said the fast moving fire destroyed the building completely.
"The page went out, we got paged out for a structure fire. when our chief got on the scene it was fully engulfed," Chief Miller said.
The fire was contained to one building but not limited to Tea fire fighters. A plume of thick black smoke could be seen for miles around. While several fire departments from around Tea came to the scene to control the raging fire.
"We have Tea, Harrisburg, Lennox, Worthing, Sioux Falls," Chief Miller said.
Fire fighters say it's too early to tell what may have caused the fire.
Sioux Falls Kitchen & Bath company leaders gave us this statement tonight.
"We don't anticipate this damage will prevent us from continuing to provide product to our customers. the major portion of our production area was protected... our offices will be running as normal tomorrow morning."
