Sioux Falls mom: We can do better than D+

Parents see a lot of report cards, but this is one most wouldn't be happy with.

We asked Sioux Falls mom Tracey Nester today about this report card.

Her child is a student at Mark Twain Elementary.

She says she was surprised to hear about the "D+" given to South Dakota and she hopes lawmakers do take a serious look at the issues. "Education is really important for children growing up, and I would not want to tell them, I would ask them, "what could we do to make things better, what are we doing right now that is putting us at a D rating?" Let's do what we can to make it better."
