Wal-Mart begins new hiring program for veterans

Wal-Mart announced a brand new hiring initiative today. The retail giant is already one of the country's biggest employers, and now it's poised to be one on the biggest employers of military veterans.

Wal-Mart will add more than 100,000 jobs over the next five years and will hire any veteran - as long as they have been discharged honorably in the past year. In recent years, finding any work, let alone good jobs, has been a struggle for veterans - with an unemployment rate of nearly 11%...well above the civilian average of 7.5%.
