Bismarck set to expand civic center, cites Sioux Falls competition

Sioux Falls' new events center has our neighbors to the north looking at expansion plans of their own.

Commissioners in Bismarck, North Dakota are in talks to repair and expand the city's civic center.

Bismarck's mayor says he wants to stay competitive with Sioux Falls' and Rapid City's convention centers.

If the proposed $31 million plan passes... it would double the size of the Civic Center's exhibit hall and improve performance spaces in the arena.
