100,000 meals bagged to combat world hunger

Hundreds of volunteers spent Saturday packing meals for thousands of hungry people around the world.

Gloria Dei Lutheran Church hosted the 500 volunteers who bagged meals for the organization "Feed My Starving Children."

Carley Costello said, "I don't know if a lot of people know really how much people are starving in the world. It's really important for us to pack the meals. We can make a difference. It feels really good and it's important."

Volunteers packed more than 100,000 meals total.
