A Lake Park, IA man is facing multiple drug charges after his vehicle was searched during a traffic stop in Sprit Lake.
Joshua Broughton, 37, was stopped in the Kum and Go parking lot at 4:30 pm Friday. During the stop it was found that Broughton was driving on a suspended driver's license and was placed under arrest.
Broughton's vehicle was searched, and police found a crystal substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine, several items of drug paraphernalia, numerous prescription pills and $1,196 in cash, which was seized during the investigation. Broughton was booked into the Dickinson County Jail.
Broughton is charged with Possession of Controlled Substance with intent to deliver (methamphetamine), Prohibited Acts, Possession of Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), Unlawful possession of prescription drug or advice, Possession of drug paraphernalia and Driving under suspension.
