Monday at 10:00, we told you about a bill that would change the way habitual speeding is punished in South Dakota.
It would put South Dakota on the points system for speeding tickets, like many other states already employ. The bill died Tuesday in the House Transportation Committee.
The bill's author, Sioux Falls Representative Steve Hickey, says it's wrong that South Dakotans can lose their drivers license for nearly any moving violation, except habitual speeding.
