Sioux Falls man arrested for stealing shopping cart

A Sioux Falls man was arrested for stealing a shopping cart from a grocery store Tuesday afternoon.

Inyan Eagle Elk, 38, was arrested for theft at approximately 4:00 pm at HyVee near Louise Avenue and 49^th Street. Police say he tried stealing a shopping cart that was inside the store. Eagle Elk was arrested in the parking lot.

Police say the shopping cart is valued at $167.75. Police also say Eagle Elk had been drinking.
