YANKTON, S.D. (AP) - The Lewis and Clark Visitor Center west of Yankton across the Nebraska border is hosting its annual Bald Eagle Days this weekend.
The Yankton Press and Dakotan reports that nature enthusiasts are invited to view bald eagles perching in nearby trees on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be hands-on activities, kids' activities and programs with live raptors presented by The Raptor Center of Minneapolis.
The free event is sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the National Park Service. It runs 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days.
The Lewis and Clark Visitor Center is on Nebraska Highway 121 near Gavins Point Dam.
